The Inclusiveness working group is a collective of people aiming to change the culture of the environment movement and society as a whole. We hope to make it more inclusive of people facing different barriers and oppressions, such as difference in ethnic and cultural experiences, socio-economic status, gender, and/or ability. We can’t fix the world if we’re only fixing it for the white middle class. And we’d love your help in making our spaces, our communities and our movement more inclusive for everyone! The working group is project rather than campaign based. The groups role is to encourage people to able to speak out and provide appropriate support and spaces for these dialogues to happen. This year the group compiled a ‘zine to encourage individuals to share their experiences and examine their own behaviour. The ‘zine and other resources are available at www.asen.pbwiki.com/ISMzine.
