About

Buckenbowra State Forest, Compartment 517 almost entirely surrounded by Monga National Park. The boundary runs alongside the Corn Trail which is an historic walking path used by the Traditional Owners and later settlers to deliver corn to the Canberra region. There have been no concessions made in the logging of the adjacent compartments to within 50 meters of the Corn Trial. The aesthetic amenity has really suffered, along with the native forests which are lost for woodchips.
