NQCC is in the process of liaising with groups ranging from the Queensland Government to fishing tackle shops to establish a fishing line/fishing net recycling program. Huge amount of plastic is currently ending up in our oceans where it ends up causing a cruel death to countless fish, turtles and marine mammals. A fishing line recycling program would reduce this unnecessary destruction.
