Australian communities are doing our bit for our environment — It’s time for politicians to catch up. For the last three years, our federal government has attacked clean energy, looking after irresponsible big polluters at the expense of a clean energy industry that is ready to go. They’ve cut our clean energy target, removed the laws that reduce pollution and tried to dump the investment bank that supports new, clean technology. Instead of protecting our natural places they’re letting big polluting companies open new coal mines, dredge the Great Barrier Reef and log our national parks.

Right now, politicians are not standing up for clean energy and nature protection, even though their communities want them to. But we have a plan to change that. This election, we’re bringing together people who care about clean energy, cutting pollution and protecting our beautiful natural places. We’ll go to the areas politicians listen to most. We’ll knock on doors and talk to our neighbours. We’ll build a level of support for our precious environment that our politicians just can’t ignore. We know it works because we’ve done it before. During the state election in 2014 we built huge momentum for change and put our environment back on the agenda. Find out more about what we did together and the difference it made >
Our communities are powerful this election. Let’s use our votes to protect our environment. We’ll be asking people to pledge to use their vote for our community and environment. You can sign the pledge here.
