About

Townsville is the “developed” world’s largest tropical urban centre. As such, we have much that we could offer the billions of people who live in other parts of the tropical world in terms of innovations in environmentally sustainable living. Townsville could lead the way in terms of environmentally friendly town planning, food and water supply, architecture and domestic design and use of solar energy. Towards this end, the NQCC is organising a sustainable industries convention, planned for next year.
