About

Cut All Ties. Democracy for the people, not the polluters. Take action now to kick the coal lobby out of our politics. Sign the petition. The world is acting on climate change, while Australia’s politicians are held back by coal lobby groups like the Minerals Council of Australia. We call on all companies and politicians to cut all ties with this anti-climate action industry lobby group.

The Dirt File
For the last 20 years Australian fossil fuel lobby groups have worked to block any chance at the safe climate future we deserve. Groups including the Minerals Council of Australia have engaged in extensive lobbying and advertising campaigns that seek to undermine government action on the climate crisis. They have benefited from a revolving door that sees key staff go back and forth between the highest positions in politicians’ offices, the public service, coal companies, and the coal lobby. To create a better, safer, cleaner world for our kids to grow up in, we need the Minerals Council of Australia to stop blocking climate action, and support the just transition to a renewable energy economy. Ways to Get Involved
Together we can take back our democracy from the hands of the big polluters and get on with the job of solving the climate crisis. But we can’t do it without a powerful movement of people like you. We need your support to take on one of the most powerful opponents to building a better future: Here’s the plan to take back our democracy from the polluters.
