Heat makes learning hard, so let’s COOL OUR SCHOOLS.
Every child deserves the best start and we know that learning gets harder when it’s hot. Yet often schools have low tree coverage, dark roofs and vast areas of heat absorbing asphalt and synthetic turf. In 2024, we are gearing up to call on the State Government and private schools to boost tree cover and switch dark surfaces to lighter, cooler and more natural alternatives.
