About

One of NQCC’s three major campaigns for 2012 focuses on addressing the overwhelming issue of global climate change by replacing our current fossil-fuel-based lifestyle with one that relies on clean, renewable energy. By reducing our carbon emissions, we can help limit climate change and help save our planet in all its glorious biodiversity. We aren’t stupid! We know that the political power of the mining and energy industries means that the odds are stacked against us by… But we aren’t giving up! A large part of our Climate Change & Renewable Energy (CCRE) campaign focuses on the Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE) movement – clear demonstration if ever there was one that a rapid transition to a clean, healthy renewable-energy-based economy is possible and affordable NOW!

Three of NQCC’s Management Committee, Janet Dearden, Mary Jones and Gerald Sowarka are trained to speak on BZE, and are available to address your group. To arrange a time for a presentation, contact the NQCC Coordinator: [email protected]
