Baird’s War on Trees – aka Biodiversity Legislation Review – Campaign update.
One hundred people turned up for the “Baird’s war on trees” rally outside Baird’s office in Manly. A framed photograph of a tree, which had been signed by all those present, was handed over along with a message outlining the demands of the campaign. (sourced Newsletter April 2016)

Biodiversity Review – the War on Trees continues The new Biodiversity Conservation Act will apply to both urban and rural areas of NSW and will repeal the Threatened Species Conservation Act and Native Vegetation Act. This new legislation is expected to be highly detrimental to biodiversity and Society members are asked to sign and send off a form letter to Mike Baird asking him to reconsider many elements of the legislation.
