The 21 APEC leaders have left Australia with the Sydney Declaration outlining their aspirational goals to solve climate change. Despite the PM’s lauding of this document, it dramatically fails our region and the globe. On the APEC weekend we gathered around a massive 144-square metre floating canvas at the iconic Bondi Beach, the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, and Melbourne’s Federation Square! Check out news, video and photos from the event here!
Add your photo to the global ‘pictition’ that sent a message to APEC leaders that the world wants binding targets to stop climate change – not hot air. We’re taking your message to the next UN climate meeting in Bali in December.
Here’s how
1. Add your name and other details below
2. Upload an existing photo from your files and it will be entered into the map below.
3. Send this map link to your friends!
Even better download the target logo here or just draw a target — on your hand, your body, a sign, your rooftop, the beach, the snow, anywhere you can! Then upload your favourite pic.
Click any target to see a photo, or click “slideshow” to let the computer do the work. These are the images that we will present to global leaders when they meet for the next round of UN climate negotiations in December! The map below may take a moment to load – it’s worth waiting for!): 491,560 have joined this campaign – help us get to 500,000.
