CAMPAIGN: $20 PER RESIDENT — MVCC 2022/23 Budget
The proposition was simple; invest $20 per resident ($2.5m total) in the Council budget to tackle climate change by helping reduce community carbon emissions. It’s a small and achievable amount that would have a big impact. While we didn’t achieve the full amount requested, we still managed to secure $700,000 (~$5 per resident) which is a giant leap forward from the starting point of $0 per resident!
