Our vision is that by 2030 the power used in the Bunyip district will be 100% renewable. We have been networking hard and have found many organisations and individuals who share our concerns about the impact of climate change and its implications for future generations. We ARE affiliated with:

We have RECEIVED grants from: Bunyip Community Opportunity Shop has granted $800 for 2 more solar lights at Recreation Reserve. to be managed by Recreation Reserve Committee of Management. The relevant club committees will manage the projects. Cardinia Shire has granted $20000 Community Capital Works Grant (Category1) for solar panels on Tennis/Netball clubhouse to be managed by president and secretary of tennis club in consultation with shire.
Achievements to date:
– Installation of a solar lamp at Koolangara Park and children’s playground.
– We are also providing solar lights for the Recreation Reserve Car Park.
– We have worked with the Recreation Reserve Committee on a project to reduce the reserve’s carbon footprint
– Organised local recycling drop off points including additional drop off points for hard to recycle items.
– Working on installation of a small Solar Farm to be on land south of the recreation reserve.
– Working on installation of a solar water pump at the Recreation Reserve which will be used to water the playing fields during the summer.
– Working with the local Hall Committee to install solar panels and split system heaters to replace existing gas heating.

That by 2030 100% of power used by Bunyip and District Community will be generated using renewable sources.
